Warehouse Associate - Home Office (Frederick, MD)

Position Reports To

Purchasing Director

Job Functions

Assist the purchasing department through picking and processing customer orders; processing shipments; packaging products and maintaining inventory and any additional tasks that are needed for the operations of the warehouse facility.

Company Relationships

The warehouse associate has direct access to the warehouse manager and the purchasing department and is there to assist them in any means necessary.

Warehouse Associate Duties

• Move inventory and materials across facilities
• Process inventory for delivery
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location
• Package items and label correctly
• Count delivered items and ensure quality
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Loan and/or unload inventory from trucks
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move or store inventory
• Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
• Work as an active team member to complete team goals
• Prepare documentation and inventory for audits
• Wear a clean uniform daily

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.

Experience

Experience with warehouse equipment and environment is preferred. Forklift certified is a plus.

Able to troubleshoot most problems and be a team player. Able to make sound, rational decisions; able to accept responsibility; able to use own initiative; able to lead as well as follow.

Special Conditions

Ability to work the necessary time and put in the effort to keep the warehouse at optimum production. Should be in good physical health.
